Two great visits to Northern Ireland last week for which we are very grateful to everyone who participated and helped make happen.

Michael Gasiorek was invited to deliver training on trade statistics to enhance capacity within the teams at the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) and the Department for the Economy NI in Belfast. This was borne out of our existing TradeSift relationship with a very well received workshop taking place on 8th October.

The following day a visit to Newry was kindly coordinated by the EU Exit team within DFE-NI Belfast with InterTrade Ireland (ITI). Michael Gasiorek was able to discuss Brexit and its effect on the Northern Irish economy.

Michael has also published the following articles on the UK Trade Policy (UKTPO) website:

Economic Realities of Brexit for firms and people in Northern Ireland

Better than the status quo for Northern Ireland? Not quite so simple
